Authentic Indian Sweet Masala Chai made with moji masala® Sweet Masala. A rich, spiced tea recipe using a traditional double boil method.
Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 1–2 strong Assam tea bags (or 2 tsp loose Assam tea)
- 1 cup oat milk or whole milk
-
1 tsp moji masala® Sweet Masala
- 1–2 tsp sugar (optional)
Directions
Bring 2 cups water to a boil.
Add tea bags or loose tea and steep 15–20 minutes for a strong base.
In a separate pan, toast 1 tsp moji masala® Sweet Masala on medium heat for 10–20 seconds until fragrant.
Add milk to the toasted masala and warm gently.
Combine the brewed tea with the spiced milk mixture.
Bring to a boil. Let it rise once, reduce heat. Repeat once more.
Simmer until medium-dark brown. Strain if needed. Sweeten if desired. Serve hot.
