Use Moji's Fish Masala packet to elevate your favorite white fish, shellfish or salmon with ease. This blend is light yet layered with the warming, gentle flavors of traditional Indian cooking. Prepare a zesty marinade for 4-6 fillets or 2-3 lbs. of shellfish. Cook alongside one of Moji’s spiced vegetables and basmati rice for a delicious and complete Indian meal in an under an hour.

Ingredients

2-3 pounds shellfish, white fish or salmon fillets; adjust quanity based on intensity of flavor you desire

1 teaspoon of fine salt

4 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons of lemon juice

1 tablespoon of maple syrup or honey (optional)

1 packet Moji Masala Fish Masala

Directions

Step 1 Salt your fish and set aside for at least 15 minutes for deeper flavor.  In a medium-sized bowl blend lemon juice and olive oil together with a fork until well-emulsified.  If using honey or syrup, add and blend again until well-emulsified.  Add the contents of the masala packet.  Mix until well-incorporated.

Step 2  Use a spoon to spread marinade over the fish as evenly as possible, using the back of the spoon if necessary.  Try to avoid having clumps of spices collect in certain areas. Marinate up to 30 minutes, if desired. Toss shellfish directly in the mariande.

Step 3  Preheat oven:

  • Bake salmon at 425 degress on a foil-lined baking sheet for 12-14 minutes or until fish reaches internal temperature of 135-140 degrees.

  • Bake white fish at 350 degress for 15-20 minutes or until fish reaches internal temperature of 135-140 degrees.

  • Bake shellfish at 425 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
