Chef Rosh's Tandoori Shrimp

(serves 3-4)

SPICE CROSS is our way to pay homage to our followers and customers who are inspired to experiment with our fresh and flavorful spice blends.  We love our own authentic recipes for sure.  But we also love to see how versatile they are as others take knowledge from diverse cuisines and add their own touch!


CHEF ROSH is a passionate chef who has been recognized time and again for her delicious and innovative cooking.  She used our Tandoori Chicken Masala to make this delicious and fast Tandoori Shrimp, along with our versatile Sweet Masala to make a Sweet Raita dipping sauce.



For the shrimp:

2 lbs. tiger shrimp cleaned

1/2 cup Greek yogurt

Juice of one lime

3 tbs MM Tandoori-Style Baked Chicken Masala

1/3 tsp chaat masala (optional)

2 tbs chopped cilantro

1 lemon wedge (garnish)

1 tbs chopped onion (garnish)


For the Sweet Masala Yogurt Dipping Sauce (Raita):

1 cup Greek yogurt

1 tsp MM Sweet Masala





Mix all ingredients together for the shrimp and marinate for 15-20 mins.


Mix the ingredients for the yogurt dipping sauce. Set aside.


Cook the shrimp as follows:

            Grill:  Skewer 4-6 shrimp on each skewer and grill for 3-4 mins on each side.

            Oven: On a greased baking tray arrange shrimp and bake on 300’ for 10 min.   

            Stove:  In a pan heat 1 tsp coconut oil. Sear shrimp for 3-4 mins on each side.       


Plate cooked shrimp, top with chopped onion and finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.  Serve with Sweet Raita
