We love rice with every Moji meal. But at times it can be a bit filling. This boil and steam, measurement-free, no-fuss method produces a delicious and light rice in no time! Give it a try! For dinner parties stick with the good old-fashion version here.
Step 1. Rinse rice until water runs clear
Step 2. Add the rice to a pot and enough water to fully cover your rice plus an inch
Step 3. Bring to a boil for five minutes, until just al dente and drain in a colander.
Step 4. Lightly grease the bottom of your pot with olive oil and add the rice. Add a pat of butter if you like. Turn heat to medium-low.
Step 5. Use a thin kitchen towel to line the bottom of your lid and twist the excess towel around the knob of the lid. Place lid on and let the rice steam for about five minutes or until rice texture is slightly soft and fluffy.
