Baked Masala Salmon

Masala Salmon

Chili-free but redolent with the warmth and gentle spice of traditional Indian cooking, this Fish Masala marinade pairs perfectly with the rich flavor of salmon.  Enjoy with a Moji Masala spiced vegetable, like cauliflower, and you have a fresh, flavorful and healthy Indian meal in under an hour! 




2 lb. salmon filet (approx. 4 filets)


4 tablespoons olive oil


2 tablespoons of lemon juice

1 packet MM Fish Masala 

Cooking Tip

This is a marinade for approximately 4 filets.  If you are cooking individual portions, use about 2 teaspoons of fish masala blended with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1/2 a tablespoon of lemon juice per filet.



1.  Use a fork to poke holes in the fish to allow the marinade to penetrate.


2.  In a small bowl blend lemon juice and olive oil together, then add the contents of the masala packet.  Mix well so spices are evenly distributed.


3.  Use a spoon to drizzle marinade over the fish as evenly as possible, using the back of the spoon if necessary.  Try to avoid having clumps of spices collect in certain areas. Marinate up to 30 minutes, if desired.


4.  Preheat oven to 450 degrees.  Place salmon on a baking sheet lined with foil and bake for 12-13 minutes or until fish reaches internal temperature of 135-140 degrees.
